Jesters began on opposite sides of Australia. In 1994 the first Shakespeares Pie shop opened in Manly, Sydney. In 1997, the first Jesters store was opened in Claremont, Perth. The two chains grew on the promise of making the finest quality pies available.In 2004 the two companies merged creating Australia's largest retail chain of pie stores.
